Boleto (Boleto Bancário) is a widely recognized cash payment method in Brazil, regulated by the Central Bank of Brazil. This method caters to the 35% of Brazilians without bank accounts by providing a voucher system payable via ATMs, banks, convenience stores, or supermarkets.

Principle of operation

  1. Selection at checkout
Customer pays with Boleto and automatically generates a voucher.
  2. Payment initiation
Customer receives the Boleto voucher, which can be paid at ATMs, banks, convenience stores, or supermarkets.
  3. Payment confirmation
Customer completes the payment at ATMs, banks, convenience stores, or supermarkets.
  4. Merchant notification
Merchant receives a notification Webhook confirming the payment status.

Boleto vouchers have an expiration period. Late payments may incur additional fees or may not be processed.
