Solidgate provides the functionality to process payments in over 100 currencies, allowing you to charge your customers in their native currency while receiving the funds in your own. This feature can be particularly advantageous if you maintain a global presence, as it may boost sales by offering customers the convenience of paying in their local currency.
Solidgate accepts amounts in a currency’s smallest unit. For example to charge:
- 10 USD, provide an amount value of 1000 (that is, 1000 cents).
- ¥200, provide an amount value of 200. For zero-decimal currencies, still provide amounts as an integer but without multiplying by 100.
*This currency is supported as a payment currency and a currency balance for in-country PayPal accounts only. If the receiver of funds is not from Brazil, then PayPal converts funds into the primary holding currency of the account with the applicable currency conversion rate. The currency conversion rate includes PayPal's applicable spread or fee.
